Learning The Tricks Of Earning Online

Looking to Optimize Your Business ?? Hire a Professional

March 17, 2008 · Filed Under SEO · Comment

SEOmoz.org - Learn From SEO Experts. Become an Expert.

There are a lot of ways of generating traffic for your business but what we need is not just any traffic but people that are looking for products and / or services that we offer and the best way of doing it is getting organic traffic via search engines like google and yahoo. Now the there is a lot of competition out there with more and more people hiring seo experts to optimise their site.

The higher the competition for the given the keyword the more difficult it is to rank for it. As soon as join seomoz and become a member you will get yourself a host of over 20 tools to assist you in the process. Have you thought of how accessible your site is or how long it takes to load ?? More than 60% to 70% of the internet traffic is still using slow speed internet connection or lets say dial ups and the more the time it takes to load the site the more are the chances that they are going to hit the close button. There are a lot of such factors that effect your traffic and makes your site more accessible.

Social marketing is the best thing that can happen to your business cause nothing works like viral marketing and you know it better than me. there a lot tools that can make your life easier and some of the best comes with it. Similarly building too many links too fast can have a negative effect and google might ban you. So dont be the hare but be the tortoise and go slow. It should look more natural.

There are a lot tools that are available for free on the net but there are a couple of problems using them like the first thing is we dont know where they are and how effective they are and hence we end up wasting a lot of time looking and searching for them and finding out the harrd way if they worked or not. Most of the time they take a negative toll on our business. Second you will never find all the gold in the world under a single roof and similarly you will never find all the perfect tools under one site for free. Its true after all - You Get What You Pay for…

Another reason I think it is worth a try is that you get professional help and advice from the experts them self which saves time and resources. It took me more than 8 months to learn everything the hard way all by myself with no one to help me and find all the tools that didnt worked

I was a bit shocked to see that everything that I was looking for and could have wanted was there right there in front of my eyes and I never looked at it !! Frankly speaking I never liked the idea of joining membership sites to learn something cause I always believed that the only thing that they do best is to scam you and its true for alot of such similar sites.

I think its worth it and if you dont like what they have to offer you then you can always cancel the subscrition but i know you wont. No one does..

Google Introduces New Site Search Feature for Classified Sites

March 6, 2008 · Filed Under SEO · Comment

Yet Google introduces something new and innovative in its search engine to give its users a feeling of complete satisfaction. Latest from the biggest search engine is a new site search feature included for classified sites right below the search results. As soons as you search for the site Sulekha you will see a seperate search box appearing right below the results where it says “search sulekha.com”

So now the users and researchers wont have to visit the homepage and then search the site for what they are looking for but instead they can search the site right from where they found it - i.e. there favorite search engine   This is the lastest addition by some of the very innovative googlers and netizens are already liking it.

This is what google said when asked about the all new search feature -

“We call this “teleporting”, and we’re pleased that we have been able to minimize the need to remember an alphabet soup of .coms, .nets, and .orgs out of everyone’s lives. However, one of the trends we noticed while studying teleporting was that there were lots of searchers who would type the name of a specific website as if they wanted to teleport, but would then immediately issue another more a refined search within this site.”

It is still a bit early to discuss how it is going to effect the serps and rankings and this is something definitely good from the searchers point of view. The same new search box also appears when you search for craigslist Most of us already know of its existence so wont be searching for it but there are so many sites out there that we have never visited and sometimes when looking for something specific we just stumble upon them then features like this can save some valuable time and make the process more easier.

When you search for something within the search box it takes you to more options related to that site. Like when I searched for London in the craigslist serach box I get the following result.

You can read more about the feature and how it came into its own right here.

Hope you enjoy it find what you are looking for..

Difference Between People and Traffic

February 25, 2008 · Filed Under Suggestions · Comment

I am a regular reader of Darren run problogger.net and a couple of days ago I read a post about a tortoise’s guide to blogging. Here is a small summary of the points to be kept in mind. It beautifully describes the difference between people and traffic and why we should focus more on people.

Checking Stats:

I agree to this that webmasters give very little importance to their stats and seldom check their traffic, sources and turn of events. Stats can tell you a lot about your shortcomings and how you can overcome it, which posts are getting more page views and attention.

When you know which of your posts are getting more page views you can write more about that particular topic and gain more traffic. Many webmasters are having trouble thinking of coming with new topics to write about, so this can help you that too.

New Friends - Go Slow

when you meet new bloggers and webmasters dont just think about yourself and also think about the other. Dont start with help me with this and that and then ignore them but help them with their issues and cultivating long term relationship.

Cant Survive Alone

No blog can survive alone and every success story has many visitors and people’s contribution as they comments, linking back, reviews and last but not the least word of mouth. So you on your part should be humble and never forget to thank bloggers and webmasters and everyone who has contributed to your blog in some way. This also boost their moral and encourage them to help further.

Patience and Long Term Thinking

I am sad to say this as I observe more and more abandoned blogs. Bloggers work on their blogs for a couple of months and when they fail to see any results they simply desert them. It takes months and even years to build loyal readers and learn the ropes. Also a lot of bloggers feel offended when their readers argue with them or pass a negative comment. Frankly speaking I feel happy when I get a negative comment because it helps me improve and learn my mistakes. Remember - Failures are stepping stones to success. Every day you learn something new and with every new curve you add value to your blog making your readers time worth every second they spend time on your blog.

Responding to too many customers and follow ups taking all your time ?? Read this !!

February 11, 2008 · Filed Under Suggestions · Comment

The future of customer service is here. Technology has made seeking out support faster and easier than ever. But, has your digital age company sacrificed true service in the name of automation?

Unlimited<br /> Autoresponders by AWeber

Today, finding customer support is as simple as writing an e-mail or picking up the phone. But, even though you’re not face-to-face with your customers, you still leave a lasting impression. Do you come across as caring and competent, or menacing and mechanical?Offering stand-out service on the Internet isn’t as hard as it is. Take these simple steps towards old-style service in the digital age:

  • Give Each Customer a Personal Response
  • Be Clear, But Sincere
  • Offer Live Customer Support
  • Make Sure Your Support Reps Have All the Answers

Give Each Customer a Personal Response

When a customer sits down to e-mail your company, it’s because he needs help. He chooses e-mail because it’s quick, but his request still warrants a satisfying and personal response!Companies eager to save time and money often take automation too far in their customer support. Each customer has a unique question, and deserves a unique answer. Even if you save time by copying and pasting stock replies, change the opening and closing to make the message sound less robotic.

Be Clear, But Sincere

When responding to customers’ e-mail, be sincere and to the point. Before sending a message, try turning the tables. Ask yourself, “Would this answer satisfy me if I were the customer?”Take that extra moment to give your customer the help he deserves. It might mean the difference between a satisfied customer and a credit card chargeback!

Offer Live Customer Support

E-mail has become an acceptable form of communication. But, live customer support is still necessary. The plethora of information available online can be overwhelming to customers, especially those new to the Internet!Single your company out from the crowd by providing customers with a real person to talk to. Live phone support is an invaluable way to foster trust. When your customer has reached the end of his Internet rope, and just needs help, your toll free number is the answer he’s looking for.

Make Sure Your Support Reps Have All The Answers

The presence of phone support will do no good if your staff doesn’t know your product! Customer support reps should be warm and friendly, and willing to help with any aspect of your product. What a good feeling it is to talk to someone who feels confident in his product. It’s even better if he’s knowledgeable enough to solve your problem without transferring you all around the company!

Provide Stand-Out Service; Gain Lifelong Customers

Too many e-businesses skimp on customer service, hiding behind web sites and message boards. Customer support is an integral part of every company, even those operating solely online. Be one of the few to offer stellar service, and gain customers for life!

How can Auto Responders help you ??

Follow up autoresponders follow up with your leads for you. You create a series of messages, and decide when they should be sent, (daily, weekly, etc.). Your autoresponder will send the messages to each new lead automatically. With no further intervention from you, your leads will remember you throughout the winter chill. And this regular reminding will mean more sales during the all-important holiday shopping season.

Give yourself the gift of a higher conversion rate! Follow up automatically using these simple steps:

  • Offer Useful Information
  • Personalize Your Messages
  • Track Your Leads
  • Broadcast Tailor-Made Offers

Offer useful information

Write your follow up messages for your leads - not for yourself. You want to talk about your great service, but your leads just want to know what they’ll get out of it!

At some point, you must have purchased something like your product. What were you looking for then? Was it information about pricing, styles, or holiday gift wrapping? Maybe just a clearer explanation of the product? Figure that out, and put the answer in your follow up messages. That’s what your leads want to know.

Personalize your message

You don’t open postal mail addressed to “Current Resident”, and your leads aren’t going to read e-mail addressed to “Dear Internet Friend.” People are simply more likely to read messages that address them by name.

Autoresponders let you use variables to personalize your messages. This way, you write just one message, but Lenny Lead reads “Happy Holidays, Lenny!” while Kate Customer reads “Happy Holidays, Kate!”

Names are only the beginning of the personalization features available, though. In addition to full, first, and last names, some autoresponders let you add e-mail addresses, dates, or an ad category. The best even correct the capitalization in your leads’ names, giving your messages a much more professional look.

Track your Leads

Get even better results from your snowballing list of leads by experimenting with follow up content and timing. Your experimentation will be much more successful if you have access to proper statistics.

Only use a follow up autoresponder that offers detailed lead statistics. Look for live, graphical stats that show your incoming leads broken down by day / week / month, all of your active leads, and leads who have requested removal from your list.

Broadcast Tailor Made Offers

To get more bang for your holiday buck, look for an autoresponder that also lets you broadcast extra e-mails to all of your leads. Some even allow you to send tailor-made offers only to leads who meet certain criteria.

Lets take an example to enhance our understanding:

For years, Matt has been successfully marketing All Natural Pharmaceuticals using a follow up autoresponder. In fact, much of his success can be attributed to the set of seven messages e-mailed to all of his potential customers. Matt has carefully crafted those messages over the years, and they’re really great.

Recently, Matt has been trying to pass what he’s learned along to his downline representatives. He explains his marketing principles over the phone, and he knows that several of his reps pass his follow up messages around amongst themselves.

However, Matt finds that his pearls of wisdom rarely survive this ‘telling and retelling’ intact. He knows his reps aren’t getting anywhere near what they could out of his knowledge. He wishes there were a way to harness today’s technology, and put it to use for the greater good of his downline…

Enter Auto Message Setup

Using an Auto Message Setup system, Matt’s downline reps can order their own follow up autoresponse accounts that are already packaged with Matt’s pre-written messages. They can reap the fruits of Matt’s experience with ease.

Each rep will customize Matt’s messages for himself by logging in to his new follow up autoresponder account, and entering his own contact information.

Here is Matt’s original autoresponse message:

Hi LEAD NAME,Thanks for stopping by the All Natural Pharmaceuticals web site today! We hope you come back soon!Best Regards, Matt M.
    matt@all-natural-pharma.com 918 Awl St.
    Natural, PA 22314

Notice that the message greeting uses a variable, (LEAD NAME). The variable ensures that each of Matt’s leads will receive a message personalized with his or her own name. Notice, also, that Matt’s name and address are at the end of the message.

Case Study - Downline Dan and the New Breed

Dan is one of Matt’s downline representatives. He’s ordered his own follow up autoresponder through Matt. Since Matt is using Auto Message Setup, Dan’s account came pre-packaged with Matt’s marketing messages. Dan personalized those messages to himself by answering a few questions in his Online Control Panel. Now Dan is sending his own personalized version of Matt’s messages to his customers! All of the basic content is Matt’s, but Dan’s contact information is on the letters. Here is the autoresponse that Dan sends to his potential customers:

Hi, LEAD NAMEThanks for stopping by the All Natural Pharmaceuticals web site today! We hope you come back soon!Best Regards, Dan D.
    dan@pharma-ceuticals.com 5 Farm Way
    Sootuh, TN 88457

Notice that the contact name and address at the end of the e-mail are Dan’s, but that the greeting at the beginning of the message still includes the name of Dan’s lead.

Mission accomplished !!!
With Matt’s experience in hand, Dan is now marketing more successfully than ever before. And he isn’t the only one - Matt’s entire downline is now using his marketing messages! Matt’s commissions are growing exponentially.

Matt and Dan’s situation is not unique. Any network marketer with an established downline can take advantage of the opportunities available in an auto message setup system. There’s no better way to put more auto in your autoresponder.
For instance, send everyone who’s been on your list for a month a special discount. Or, notify all leads interested in a certain product when a new shipment comes in.

Follow up messages keep leads warm. Use periodic broadcasts to convert them to sales!
Prevent a Crummy Christmas

Businesses of all sizes ha*ve seen their sales grow by leaps and bounds because of automated follow up. Implement your follow up strategy now to make the best use of holiday leads! Then, enjoy the season - your autoresponder is following up for you!Take a quick look at these to increase your understanding of what aweber auto responder can do for you.

Make your Host Your Dost ! ! !

February 1, 2008 · Filed Under Hosting · 9 Comments

Incase you are wondering what do I exactly mean by the word - Dost - well in Hindi, the national language of India it means - friend. I mean to say that your webhost is your best friend because they are the ones who are looking after your site / blog’s maintenance and up-time trying to provide the possible services available. If you are running your own online business you will definitely what is he importance of a good host. Still many people are sceptical about it and mostly prefer cheap or even free hosting. So in todays post we will discuss all the possible alternatives including free hosting and see what works out best.

If you think that there are other hosting companies that I have missed ( which I am pretty sure I have since there are way too many of them ) that are worth a mention then please leave a comment and I will update the post at the earliest.

1. Hostgator Hosting:

They probably dont need any introduction as being one of the most successful hosting companies around the corner. There are prices are very competitive as compared to the services that they offer. I have never heard anyone saying that they dont provide value for their money. they up time is unmatchable and online supports beats most of the others. Starts at $4.95 shared hosting, $24.95 reseller and goes upto $174 for a dedi. Their is the best thing about them and they really do provide 24×7 support unlikes a couple of others where you can see a message saying “Live support is offline” !!!

2. Bluehost Hosting:

Bluehost has proven itself to be one of the most reliable hosting companies in a short span of time. They are also running promotional offer and you will get $50 yahoo and $50 google credit with every purchase. Winner of the best customer service award in 20o6 they have proven that its never to late to enter a market.

3. LunarPages Hosting:

They are probably the best in the business or at least one of the best. What makes them a favorite of the webmasters is not their excellent services and backup but because they come with a lot of other softys that makes a webmasters life easier. For every webmaster who wants to make a living online and continue a certain blog / site for a very long time to come, I seriously recommend this host. Please take a look at their various plans to see what are the things that are included in their various plans. Certainly capable of becoming your best DOST . . .

4. HostIcan Hosting:

Comes with a full money back guarantee however I am yet to hear any of such case where anyone has claimed it. They are very suitable for the bigger companies or blog owners for whom services are more important then anything else. Well you have to try it to find more about it as I am yet to use their services.

5. Hostnine Hosting:

Hostnine is for the average joe who are not in a position to shell out much but want the best possible services. Starting at $3.95 their hosting plan provides all the luxuries you want. Good for all those who are looking for cheap but reliable options. Your search ends here.

6. CrucialWebHost Hosting:

If your site or blog is crucial for the success of your business then you should take a quick look at crucial webhosts cause quite true to their name webhosts are the most crucial part of your site that take care of all the dirty work for you. You can get a .com for as low as $5.99 which I believe is the lowest at the moment. (please leave a comment if you know of any other who cheaper - always good to save a few bucks here and there )

7. Midphase Hosting:

Customers always like it when a couple of additional perks are added to their basic plan and what else can be better than the free credits and they are offering around credits worth $300. Many people are hesitant in transferring their blog / site to a new hosts because many of them are unfamiliar with the procedure and feel a bit lazy. The good news is that they will do it all for you and even pay for your old account charges if pending.

Apart from that the rest of the story is almost same since almost all the webhosts keep a keen look at their competitors and adapt to the changes really quickly in order to survive the cut throat competition. If anyone is using any one of the above mentioned hosts then please share your thoughts and feedback.
